PersonalityThose who enjoy personality profiles or just want to dig deeper might find it interesting to learn a little more about me via letters and numbers. Personality tools can offer insight into how someone functions. Here are some highlights:
The Myers-Brigg inventory types me as INFJ. The introversion (I), intuition (N), and feeling (F) aspects play out in my pastoral sensibilities as well as my soulful inner life and spiritual leadership. I feel with others naturally and deeply. The NF combination shows up in my imagination and idealism. My strong organizing inclinations (J) influence my work style, although this trait has tempered over time and I operate sometimes in a spontaneous, playful manner as well. The overall combination (INFJ), known as the Practical Dreamer, is noted for interpersonal and aesthetic sensibilities, as well as leadership grounded in integrity. Being an INFJ is said to put me in the company of Jesus, Gandhi, Carl Jung, Eleanor Roosevelt, MLK, and Mandela, plus – for the sci fi fans – Capt. Picard and Yoda.

My enneagram type is the Five with a Four wing. This type is variously known as the Visionary, the Observer, the Iconoclast, or the Innovator. Healthy people of this type are characterized by “the union of intuition and knowledge, sensitivity and insight, aesthetic appreciation and intellectual endowments.” Their creative tinkering can lead to breakthroughs. They can penetrate the nature of reality most clearly and deeply.
The Gallup StrengthsFinder zeroed in on the following as my top five strengths: ACHIEVER (inner drive to get things done every day and to tackle challenges); INPUT (inquisitive, fascinated |
by the infinite variety and complexity of life); FUTURISTIC (one who sees visions of what the future could be, drawing others to this inspiration); BELIEF (anchored by core values that give meaning, direction and ethical grounding); and STRATEGIC (one who sees patterns clearly and plots a path to reach goals).
I look forward to getting to know you and learning about each other more directly.
